We can all agree on one thing -- parenting isn’t easy! We know it can be fulfilling, challenging, frustrating, exhausting, discouraging and inspiring – and that's just in one day! We all want to see our children grow up to live happy, fulfilling lives, but how do we get them there?
"It takes a village..."
We have collected and compiled many wonderful resources as a way to help. This central clearing house of information is designed to connect you with the individuals and organizations ready to assist on a very grass roots level. We have also included the many and varied places of cultural interest you can take your kids to visit. Philadelphia is one of the historically richest cities in the country.
In addition, the evolution of the world wide web has put an infinte number of outstanding resources at our fingertips and enabled us to connect in new ways with people around the world. These web based resources have the advantage of much more immediate help as you guide and encourage your children in their lives. We have also included many online bulletin boards, blogs and discussion groups; these are the online equivalent of support groups to help you deal with the trials and tribulations of parenting.
